Yesterday we celebrated our 2 year anniversary. I know... you are probably wondering what happened with the cake.... well. Karen the cake lady called me yesterday afternoon and was very apologetic about the cake incident. She said that somehow she wrote the date down wrong and she was so sorry. She said to make up for the inconvenience she wanted to pay for the cake I got at safeway and give me my anniversary cake delivered that night free of charge. I told her there was no way I would let her pay for a cake I ate, but that I would let her do the anniversary cake. We arranged for her to bring it to us at dinner and it was a total surprise. Trent looked so shocked when she walked in and said "are you Crista" he had a look on his face like "what is going on?" then she turned and he could see the cake... I think then he realized but was so confused because he knew of the incident from the day before. She left quickly and I was able to explain everything to him. It all worked out in the end like it usually does. We were so full of yummy sushi that we took the cake back to Rick and Janices (our friends who watched the kids) and shared it with them. It was delicious of course!!! Marble with Raspberry filling.... mmmm.... Happy 2 years to us!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Trenton!!!
(Sorry the pics are in reverse order :))
Feeding himself a bite!!!
Trenton turned one on Sunday. It was an interesting day. It started off with decorating and getting the house all ready and the food all prepped. Then I had to go and pick up the cake. (As a surprise to Trent for the following day which was our two year anniversary I was also supposed to be picking up the top tier of our wedding cake that I had her recreate) Anyways.... the lady never showed.... after waiting for her for 40 minutes I finally left and drove quite pist to safeway and bought a Cars cake and a little personal cake for Trenton to destroy. I called Trent and he got me to calm down. After talking to him I realized it was not that BIG of a deal.... At home the party went well. We had about 20 people show and Trenton got some really awesome presents. Lots of cars, clothes, money and even a little baby Bible set which was one of my favorites!!! We ate sandwiches that Trent put together and some sides that my neighbor Wilma and my mom made. It was a really good time!!!! I cant believe that he is one!!! He was in hog heaven when he got his own little cake. At first he was a little timid but then he dug in and I had to take it away from him so he didnt get sick.

Halloween 2009
Tonight we went to main street and trick-or-treated at all the booths. It was fun, although there were a LOT of people Trent was a ninja, I was Elvira (again) (long story but the costume I had for this year was hidious on), Paige was a witch and Trenton was a gorilla. Trenton fell asleep in my arms on the way back to the car, it was so cute.

I thought it would be fun...
Costume time
Yesterday we found Trentons costume for Halloween. Backup, I had already bought Trenton a costume last year after Halloween for this year. It was a skunk that was 6-18 months in size and you guessed it... it didnt fit. Anyways so we went to K Mart yesterday and found the perfect costume. Best of all it was 50% off. Trenton actually likes this costume and smiles a lot when you put it on him. I think he likes it cause it is soft and cuddly!!! Ps. It is a size 2 and up... no teenie tiny boys in this house!

Vacation from H-E-DOUBLE-HOCKEY STICKS
In the airplane
On the way home from the airport
I brought Maddy this Dora towel and she loved it.
I won this for Maddy. She was so happy she loves Boots!
I won this from the crane game at wal mart for Trenton

Lunch at the white chocolate grill

Playing in Maddys blow up castle
Maddy loving her new duck
Crista and Trenton
Things we won out of the gigantic crane game
Im not sure where to begin writing about the madness. I guess Ill start on the drive to the airport, when Trenton decided not to sleep until about 15 minutes before we arrived. Great. We all know a baby with no nap is better then a baby woken up after only 15 minutes. On the plane. Trenton was crazy at first. All he wanted to do was get down and climb under the seats. Not happening. Luckily he crashed with about 40 minutes left to Colorado. Best 40 minutes I had ALL day! The next two days were smooth. Kids were happy, me and my sister were happy. Tuesday Trentons nose started to run. I convinced myself it was just the cold weather and maybe a little teething. Wednesday night 3:00 am Trenton was screaming. When I went in to get him he was HOT. Never having dealt with this before I was a little unprepared and scared. I called my sister in for backup. We got him medicine, hung out for a while and then I put him back to sleep. Woke up in the morning still a little warm so I out him in the bath to break the fever. This worked. Now its Thursday and I feel a little sore sensation in the back of my throat when I went to swallow. Not good, hurry and took airborne but I guess I was too late. From here on out it was a blur, what nights I had a fever, what nights Trenton had a fever, what morning I couldnt pry myself out of bed and had to call on Laura for help with Trenton, what day I went to the urgent care, what day Maddy started to sneeze and get a runny nose, what day I went to the ER, what day Laura burned a fever, what day Maddy had a fever. You caught the drift? All I know is somehow I mustered up enough energy to get on a plane and fly home Monday. Oh yes and we cant forget that flight where Trenton pooped his pants on take off and I had to change him in the 2X2 bathroom, and also how he refused to take a nap until we landed and he dropped his head over on my arm with eyes shut. I THINK NOT! I woke him up of course thinking that would make him sleep on the ride home. Nope, I got blessed with the only child in the world that the car makes them wake up!!!! so the current update is: we are still sick, Trenton is still coughing and has a runny nose and I currently cant hear a thing my ears are so plugged and I have a runny nose too. Gotta love flu season!!! Happy vacationing,....... NOT!

Trenton is 11 months old!
Weighing in at 24.7 lbs and 32 inches tall. Trenton is a walkin' (with a walker), talkin', climbin' into the fridge, openin' doors, gettin' the toilet paper, wavin' and sayin' hi and good bye, curious about everything big little 11 month old boy! I have seriously enjoyed this past month so much. He has learned and discovered so much and it is so neat to watch. I am constantly smiling at his contagious smile. I truly like waking up early and get excited to see him every morning. His personality is so happy and contagious he has everyone that meets him loving him in minutes. I cant even put into words the happiness he has brought me. Lets just hope he continues to be sweet and loving and smiley in the next months and years to come!
